Henry Wilding

"I was born on 15 Oct, 1868, the son of George Wilding, and Mary Elizabeth Layne. I was the 10th child and was referred to as the tithing. I obtained my education by attending schools, which at the time were held in various wards in the city. at this time one had to pay tuition to attend school. In school I got as high as fifth reader. We were graded according to the reader you were in and above the fifth reader you was ready for the University.

Father, with his parents, came from Preston, England, and settled near Council Bluffs. Mother came from Clay County, Indiana, and was personally acquainted with the Prophet Joseph Smith. Mother seen them take the Prophet's body from where it fell at the jail and put in the wagon."
